Much-hyped
Bollywood
movies
Ragini
MMS
2,
Gang
Of
Ghosts,
Ankhon
Dekhi
and
Lakshmi
have
hit
the
marquee
across
India
today
(March
21).
But
among
the
four,
the
Sunny
Leone
starrer
horrex
film
has
received
fantastic
opening
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
and
is
leading
the
race,
while
others
registered
lukewarm
response.
Produced
by
Ekta
Kapoor,
Ragini
MMS
2
is
a
sequel
to
super-hit
film
Ragini
MMS.
Besides
having
a
brand
value,
the
movie
has
huge
amount
of
promotions.
So
it
was
expected
to
start
with
a
bang.
As
predicted
by
trade
analysts,
the
Sunny
Leone
starrer
has
registered
very
good
amount
of
occupancy
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows
at
multiplexes
and
single
screens.
But
its
business
in
night
shows
is
likely
to
be
affected
by
the
cricket
match
between
India
vs
Pakistan.
Bollywood
trade
analyst
Taran
Adarsh
writes,
"The
opening
response
to
Ragini
MMS
2
confirmed
this
fact
as
the
morning
shows
--
at
multiplexes
and
single
screens
--
opened
to
a
heartening
response.
Sure,
the
business
is
bound
to
be
affected
thanks
to
the
cricket
match
[India
vs
Pakistan],
but
the
super
start
and
positive
word
of
mouth
has
placed
the
film
in
the
comfort
zone."
When
compared
to
Ragini
MMS
2,
other
new
releases
Gang
Of
Ghosts,
Ankhon
Dekhi
and
Lakshmi
had
less
amount
of
promotions.
They
do
not
boast
of
popular
star
cast.
They
have
had
very
poor
amount
of
footfalls
at
both
single
screens
and
multiplexes.
Taran
Adarsh
writes,
"These
three
films
will
have
to
gross
impressive
numbers
over
the
weekend
to
amass
a
respectable
total.
Meanwhile,
Queen,
now
in
its
third
week,
is
expected
to
give
a
tough
fight
to
these
three
films."
