Daawat-E-Ishq (3 Days) First Weekend Collection At Box Office

Daawat-E-Ishq starring Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur had a big clash at the Indian Box Office with Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan starrer Khoobsurat. In the clash of the titans, Daawat-E-Ishq emerged as the winner, for during the weekend the movie managed to collected good revenue at the Box Office based on the word of mouth promotions.

While Khoobsurat made a meagre collection of Rs 2.75 crores on Friday and Rs 3.74 crores on Saturday, Daawat-E-Ishq managed to make double of what Sonam Kapoor's film generated. Parineeti Chopra's film collected Rs 3.74 crores on Friday and Rs 4.37 crores on Saturday, so total collection of two days came to Rs 8.11 crores. While in the first two days of the release the film managed to make double and made good collections, on Sunday the entire scenario changed.

Khoobsurat suddenly managed to gather speed at the Box Office and ended up making a total collection of Rs 11-12 crores and Daawat-E-Ishq which was predicted to have a big margin difference ended up collecting Rs 14.20 crores, the Sunday Box Office collection was Rs 5.60 crores.

With a difference of just Rs 2 crores the films is slowly threading and if the film doesn't manage to do well over the week, Khoobsurat may well ended up beating Daawat-E-Ishq Box Office collection.

Both these movies were expected to better, trade experts predicted the movie to have increase in occupancy over the weekend, at least 30-40% but it didn't happen so. The reason for this may be due to big star movies releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

But id somehow Daawat-E-Ishq manages to survive another week and gross Rs 20 crores, the movie will get time till the release of Bang Bang and Haider to recover the post production cost of the movie.
