Two
much-hyped
Bollywood
movies
Sholay
3D
and
Mr
Joe
B
Carvalho,
which
released
in
theatres
today,
have
opened
to
a
poor
response
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Trade
analysts
in
B-Town
describe
it
as
the
effect
of
two-week-old
release
Dhoom
3,
which
has
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
ticket
counters
in
the
third
week.
Experts
predict
that
the
Aamir
Khan
starrer
will
dominate
the
weekend
chart
for
the
third
time.
Sholay,
which
first
hit
the
screens
on
August
15
in
1975,
is
one
of
the
ever-green
Bollywood
movies.
Following
the
craze
for
the
film,
the
makers
have
re-released
the
movie
with
3D
version.
Arshad
Warsi
and
Soha
Ali
Khan
starrer
Mr
Joe
B
Carvalho
is
comedy
entertainer
and
its
promos
have
soared
up
the
viewers'
expectations
to
the
sky
high.
Having
massive
promotions
and
huge
hype,
they
were
expected
to
start
with
a
bang
at
the
domestic
Box
Office.
But
Sholay
3D
and
Mr
Joe
B
Carvalho
have
registered
an
average
amount
of
occupancy
in
the
morning
show.
Trade
expert
Taran
Adarsh
writes,
"After
the
big
finish
last
year
with
Dhoom
3
shattering
most
records,
expectations
were
high
from
the
newer
releases.
However,
the
two
films,
Sholay
3D
and
Mr
Joe
B
Carvalho
that
kickstarted
the
year
for
Bollywood,
have
begun
on
a
less
than
desirable
note."
Taran
Adarsh
continues,
"Early
trends
indicate
a
slow
start
for
the
two
films,
although
Sholay
was
slightly
better
in
few
circuits.
However,
Dhoom
3
is
expected
to
dominate
the
domestic
BO
for
the
third
consecutive
week,
as
per
initial
trends." He
adds,
"Both
Sholay
3D
and
Mr
Joe
B
Carvalho,
will
have
to
rely
heavily
on
a
strong
word
of
mouth
to
sustain
over
the
weekend."
