Yash
Raj
Films'
latest
production
Gunday
starring
Ranveer

Arjun

Priyanka
Chopra
in
leads,
has
got
fantastic
response
and
has
done
superb
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
But
director
Ali
Abbas
Zafar's
action
thriller,
which
released
in
2,000

the
country
on
February
14,
has
missed
to
surpass
Rs
50
crore
mark
in
the
domestic
market
in
three
days.
Made
on
a
whopping
budget
of
Rs
50
crores,
Gunday
opened
to
a
fantabulous
start
in
the
domestic
market
on
Friday,
but
the
business
of
the
movie
showed
downward
trends
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
It
has
collected
Rs
43.93
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
16.12
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
12.63
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
15.18
cr
on
Sun.

Gautam
Dutta,
chief
operating
officer,
PVR
Cinemas,
said,
"It
is
one
of
the
much-awaited
films.
The
response
is
very
good.
The
occupancy
(over
three
days)
was
about
80
percent.
The
songs,
genre
and
two
young
actors
with
Priyanka...
everything
is
well
taken
up." Dutta
said,
"We
are
positive
about
next
weekend
too."
He
also
said
that
some
people
liked
the
first
half
of
the
film
more
than
the
second
half.
Irrespective
of
it,
the
response
has
been
welcoming.
Megastar
Amitabh
Bachchan,
who
watched
Gunday
at
its
Mumbai
premiere,
called
it
"an
adrenaline-packed
movie".
