Gabbar Is Back Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collection: Biggest Opener Of 2015

Gabbar Is Back starring Akshay Kumar turned out to be the biggest opener of 2015, thereby giving some hope to the Indian Box Office of finally making some money, after some disastrous movie releases this year.

Hollywood flicks like Furious 7 and Avengers did do till the 100 crore mark, but none of the recent Bollywood releases could hit the 100 crore mark, neither they could survive in the market for long.

Akshay's Gabbar Is back had a lot of anticipation as this was a remake and people wanted to know if Akshay gave justice to the role. The reviews from critics were both positive and negative, but most of the reviews did say the movie was not as good as the south original.

In spite of these negative reviews, Gabbar Is Back opened to a 75% occupancy in the morning shows which quite staggering considering that usually Friday first shows are not always houseful unless it is Shahrukh or Salman Khan.

Akshay's film received whistles from fans through out the movie, which showed that negative reviews don't mean a thing as long as the youth is enjoying the movie.

People loved it and with good word of mouth promotion the movie will pick up even more overt the weekend. With 75% occupancy in theaters all over the country, Gabbar Is Back has grossed Rs 13.05 crores as it's opening day collection.
