Katti Batti Tuesday (5 Days) Worldwide Box Office Collection: A Huge Flop
Katti Batti movie has failed to make good collections at the Indian Box Office. Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut starrer ended up failing owing to the unimpressive story which left the viewers and critics bored in the cinema theaters.
Katti Batti screen count has reduced to just 1200 screens and with a budget of Rs 35 crores, we doubt the movie can meet the break even point before the release of the next movie.
Over the first weekend the film had grossed Rs 16.27 crores and on Monday it grossed just Rs 1.91 crores which brought the 4 days total to Rs 18.18 crores. With such a huge fall on first weekday, it is highly unlikely that the film would have done any better on second weekday, Tuesday.
According to trade experts the Katti Batti Box Office collection on Tuesday will be just Rs 1 crore, making the total 5 days collection Rs 19.18 crores, a number which is nowhere close to the budget of the film.
Luckily for the makers, the movie has managed to do better overseas. Taran reported, "#KattiBatti Overseas total: $ 1.17 million [₹ 7.72 cr]... North America $ 251k, UAE-GCC $ 450k, UK $ 175k, Pakistan $ 134k." This will bring the total worldwide collections to Rs 27 crores approximately.
The film has to gross Rs 8 crores more to meet the break even point! Coming weekend it shall face competition from Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Madhur Bhandarkar's Calendar Girls.
Katti Batti needs all the luck in the world just to recover it's making cost.
