Tevar
starring
Arjun
Kapoor
and
Sonakshi
Sinha
which
released
on
January
9
got
moderate
reviews.
Although
the
film
was
a
remake,
director
Amit
Sharma
had
retained
only
the
essence
of
the
South
film
and
made
an
entirely
new
and
entertaining
film.
Tevar
film's
rawness
may
not
appeal
to
a
certain
section
of
the
audience,
however
it
will
interest
the
single-screen
audiences.
It
is
a
total
paisa-vasool
entertainment.
Tevar
has
got
everything
in
it
from
comedy
to
romance
to
emotion
to
drama
and
action.
Tevar
managed
to
earn
Rs
7.05
Cr
on
its
first
day.
During
the
weekend,
the
collections
dropped.
The
film
had
to
struggle
to
perform
at
the
Box
Office.
Reportedly,
Tevar
collected
Rs
7
Cr
nett
on
Saturday
and
on
Sunday
a
meagre
Rs
8.10
cr.
Going
only
by
the
word
of
mouth
promotions,
Tevar
is
expected
to
pick
up
slowly.
The
only
competition
for
Tevar
is
PK
and
that
is
a
very
tough
one,
considering
that
it's
a
hit
film
from
Aamir
Khan.
Arjun
Kapoor
had
given
a
hit
film
2
States
before,
but
Tevar
seems
to
be
going
slow.
If
we
look
at
the
current
film's
trend
at
the
Box
Office,
collections
are
expected
to
grow.
Tevar
made
a
very
less
collection
of
Rs
22.15
Cr
only
in
the
first
weekend
of
it's
release.
