Karan Johar's latest directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has crossed 100 Crores at the Indian box office in the second week of its release. The movie which faced a tough competition from Ajay Devgn's Shivaay has finally scored a century.
Revealing the box office numbers of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trade Analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on twitter, ''#ADHM crosses ₹ 100 cr... [Week 2] Fri 4.56 cr, Sat 5.85 cr, Sun 6.55 cr, Mon 2.55 cr, Tue 2.35 cr. Total: ₹ 102.05 cr. India biz. HIT.'' Taran Adarsh added, ''Karan Johar scores his first ₹ 100 cr with #ADHM... Ranbir's third [#YJHD, #Barfi]... Anushka's fourth [#JTHJ, #PK, #Sultan]... Ash's first.''

Highest Opener For Karan Johar
Karan Johar's Student of the Year collected Rs 9.25 Crores and My Name Is Khan Rs 8.25 Crores at the Indian box office but Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's opening day collection was Rs 13.4 Crores.
Highest Overseas Collection On Its First Day Of Release
This Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer had the highest collection on its first day of release. The total overseas collection of the film on its opening day was around Rs. 2.40 Crores.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also created a record of being the highest opening weekend overseas for Karan Johar. The Film minted Rs 41.05 Crores, internationally.

Talking about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's overseas collection, Taran Adarsh tweeted, ''#ADHM [Week 2] Fri 4.56 cr, Sat 5.85 cr, Sun 6.55 cr. Total: ₹ 97.15 cr. India biz... OVERSEAS: $ 10.2 million [₹ 68.07 cr].''
Before its release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil faced a lot of political pressure and controversies, all thanks to the MNS. After the Uri attacks, MNS strongly objected to the fact that Karan Johar casted Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in his movie. Reportedly, Karan Johar chopped a lot of scenes of Fawad in the movie because of the threat.
Well, despite the negative publicity before the release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil gave Karan Johar an entry to the elite 100 Crores club of Bollywood. Time for some celebrations!
