Rock On 2 First Day (Opening) Box Office Collection: Failed To Rock!

Rock On 2 failed to rock at the box office on its opening day. The movie did a below average business on its first Friday. The Farhan Akhtar film opened to around 15% occupancy in the morning shows.
The movie has got mostly negative reviews from the critics. A lukewarm response from the audiences was somewhere expected as there was no hype about Rock On 2. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the box office collection of the film and wrote, "#RockOn2 has a DISMAL start... Fri ₹ 2.02 cr. India biz."

We all know making a sequel of a blockbuster film is never easy as comparisons are bound to happen. Since Rock on 2 is the 2nd installment of its very successful prequel, expectations were very high from the film. But, looking at the current scenario, it seems that Rock On 2 does not have much to offer to the viewers.
Rock On 2 is directed by Shujaat Saudagar and it features Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora. Shahana Goswami and Kumud Mishra are also a part of the cast.
