Noor First Day (Opening) Box Office Collection

Sonakshi Sinha's Noor opened on a disappointing note at the Indian box office. Unfortunately, her journalist act couldn't attract the audiences to the theatre.

Talking about the movie's first day collection, Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter, ''#Noor has a dull start... Fri ₹ 1.54 cr [1450 screens]. India biz... Needs a major jump over the weekend to leave a mark.''

Sonakshi, started her career with the blockbuster film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. But her last film Akira, performed badly at the box office and the recent collections of Noor too, don't look pleasing.

Talking about her role as a journalist in the movie, Sonakshi had earlier told a daily, "I wouldn't be able to really understand the real struggles of being a journalist, but now I have a glimpse of it. I know that it's a thankless job.''

''I know how difficult it is to chase for a story and you have to please the people you work for and plus you have deadlines. Sometimes there are things that you don't want to do at all but you have to do it as it's your job. In those ways, I empathize."

Directed by Sunhil Sippy, Noor also stars Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar in important roles.
