Raees Box Office Collection Day 2: Shahrukh Khan's Film Set To BREAK All The Records

Shahrukh Khan has taken the box office by storm with his latest release Raees, which hit the screens on Jan 25th along with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil.

The movie which was released in around 2700 screens performed exceptionally well on a National holiday. Talking about Raees' total collection till now, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, ''#Raees is PHENOMENAL on Day 2. All set to pack a FAB total in its 5-day weekend. Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr. Total: ₹ 46.72 cr. India biz.''

This has also made Raees the highest earner ever on a Republic Day. Before Raees, this record belonged to Salman Khan's Jai Ho, which collected Rs 25 Crores on a National holiday in 2014.

Now let us talk about the overseas collection of the movie on Day 1. According to BollywoodHungama.com, Raees earned an impressive collection of Rs 2.09 crore from the Australia, New Zealand and UK belt.

Shahrukh Khan plays the role of a bootlegger Raees Alam in the movie, Pakistani actor Mahira Khan plays his love interest and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is seen in the role of a tough cop who is out to put an end to Raees' criminal activities. The film has been directed by Rahul Dholakia.
