A Difficult Weekend Predicted For Vishwaroop 2

Trade analyst Girish Johar was quoted as saying, "Vishwaroopam 2 might have a difficult weekend in the South. Following the death of M Karunanidhi, it is difficult to say anything about the film's earnings there, but in the Hindi belt, it will earn something between Rs 2-2.5 crore on its opening day."

There Isn't Much Buzz About The Film In The Hindi Belt

On the other hand, another trade analyst Sumit Kadel told Times Now, "I don't think the film will work in the Hindi belt. It barely has any buzz surrounding it, so one should not expect it to bring great numbers at the box-office. Vishwaroop, the prequel of this film, was a major box-office flop if you look at the budget that film was made on."

The Reason Why Vishwaroop 2 Got Made

He further added, "The reason why Vishwaroop 2 got made despite Vishwaroop failing at the box-office is because a major portion of the film had already been shot. From the beginning itself, it was planned as a two-part film."

Will This Film Manage To Impress The Audience?

Speaking about his box office prediction for Hindi version of the spy thriller, Sumit revealed, "I don't think this film can go beyond Rs 1.50 crore on its opening day. If it does manage to earn that much, it would be considered a satisfactory performance."

Vishwaroop 2 Is A Solo Release

A report in Bollywood Hungama further stated, 'For the producer/director/actor, what goes on favour is the fact that this is a solo release for him this Friday. There is no competition from any other film and hence all attention would be for Vishwaroop 2. That said, one has to take this too with a pinch of salt since the film's run would be curtailed by the arrival of two Bollywood biggies this Wednesday itself, Gold and Satyameva Jayate. It would have to be seen that how many screens are retained by Vishwaroop 2 from Wednesday.'
