Akshay
Kumar-Kriti
Sanon's
latest
release
Bachchhan
Paandey
witnessed
a
major
drop
in
its
box
office
collections
on
Monday
owing
to
Vivek
Agnihotri's
The
Kashmir
Files
which
is
having
a
phenomenal
run
in
cinema
halls.
If
the
early
trends
are
to
be
believed,
Akshay's
Bachchhan
Paandey
saw
a
heavy
drop
of
around
70%
in
its
box
office
collections
on
Monday.
As
per
reports,
the
gangster
flick
collected
around
Rs
3-4
Crores
on
its
fourth
day
of
release.
Bachchhan
Paandey
received
mixed
reviews
from
the
critics
and
had
an
opening
collection
of
Rs
13.25
Crore
on
Friday.
It
witnessed
a
fall
in
its
box
office
figures
on
Saturday
as
it
minted
Rs
12
Crore.
Bachchhan
Paandey
remained
stable
on
its
next
day
(Rs
12
Crore)
taking
the
weekend
box
office
collection
to
Rs
37.25
Crore.
A
remake
of
Kartik
Subbaraj's
Tamil
flick
Jigarthanda,
Bachchhan
Paandey
features
Akshay
Kumar,
Kriti
Sanon,
Arshad
Warsi,
Pankaj
Tripathi
and
Prateik
Babbar
in
pivotal
roles.
The
movie
stars
Akshay
Kumar
as
a
dreaded
gangster
while
Kriti
essays
the
role
of
a
budding
director.
Speaking
about
being
a
part
of
Bachchhan
Paandey,
Kriti
had
earlier
told
a
news
portal,
"It
is
a
very
unique
script
I
would
say,
very
entertaining.
It's
got
everything
-
action,
comedy,
romance,
drama,
it's
got
a
little
bit
of
thriller
too.
The
dynamics
of
his
(Akshay
Kumar)
and
my
character
is
very
unique.
You
have
seen
his
looks,
so
his
look
is
like
a
killer.
I
had
a
blast
shooting
that
film."
She
had
also
talked
about
her
pairing
with
Akshay
in
the
film
and
said
in
another
interview,
"What
also
worked
for
me
was
that
my
chemistry
with
Akshay
in
the
film
is
different
from
what
we
had
done
in
Housefull
4,
it
is
an
entirely
new
space
so
there
was
a
chance
to
do
something
I
hadn't
done
before."
