Adah Sharma's The Kerala Story: Adah Sharma's The Kerala Story was mired in controversies even before its release due to the sensitive subject of religious conversions. There were massive protests across the country and the film was even banned in a few states.

But, despite the controversies, ban, and protests, the film created a storm at the box office. The day 26 box-office collection of the Vipul Shah-produced film stands at 228.62 crores. And going by the trend, the Adah Sharma starrer with some stretch could end up making a lifetime collection of 250 crores.

Now, talking about the records, the film has created, the Adah Sharma starrer has emerged as the highest-grossing female-centric film, and also the second highest-grossing Hindi film after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.

To note, the film smashed the records set by Bollywood a-listers with its box-office collection. It defeated Deepika Padukone's Piku, Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi, Raazi, & Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika among several other films.

Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi

The period film, Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi starring Kangana Ranaut collected Rs 92.19 crore at the box office.

Veere Di Wedding

Veere Di Wedding earned Rs 83 crores at the box office. Produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, the female-centric film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania.

The Dirty Picture

The biographical drama starring Vidya Balan in the lead minted Rs 80 crores at the box office.
