Dunki Advance Booking Report US: SRK’s Film Beats Animal 10 Days Before Release; But Gets Crushed By Salaar

The year 2023 has turned out to be really amazing for Shah Rukh Khan and there are no second thoughts about it. He made a comeback with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan which took the box office with a storm and was later seen in Atlee's Jawan which turned out to be an absolute game changer at the box office.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan is now coming up with his third release of the year. We are talking about Rajkumar Hirani directorial Dunki which also features Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The movie is set to release on December 21 and the countdown for the same has begun. Interestingly, Dunki will be having a box office clash with Prabhas' Salaar.

And as everyone is eagerly waiting for the release of both the movies, the advance booking Salaar and Dunki has begun in theUSA. To note, Dunki has managed to beat Ranbir Kapoor's Animal 10 days ahead of the release in terms of advance booking in the USA. To note, Animal had made a collection of $54,812 as 3,244 tickets were sold for 424 shows in 206 locations 10 days before the release.

On the other hand, Dunki has minted $90,292 as 6,514 tickets have been sold for 925 shows in 328 locations so far. However, Salaar has managed to take a lead and it has raked in $593,657 as 22,003 tickets have been sold for 1119 shows in 347 locations so far.

As Salaar has managed to crush Dunki in advance booking so far, it will be interesting to see how both the movies will perform at the box office post release. Meanwhile, talking about the clash, Salaar producer Vijay Kirangdur told Bollywood Hungama, "We don't want things to be ugly. We are already having meetings with the exhibitors and distributors. When we have a solo release, the occupancy generally will be around 60-70 percent. Some screens will go to 'Aquaman', but between Salaar and 'Dunki', we hope to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario. In such a scenario, if an occupancy of 90-100 percent is achieved, it'll be a good result for both films".
