Animal Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranbir’s Film DETHRONES SRK’s Jawan To Create THIS Record

Ranbir Kapoor is grinning ear to ear these days and rightfully so. After all, his recent release Animal is doing wonders at the box office. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action thriller also stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in the lead and has opened to rave reviews from the audience.

After an impressive opening day collection of Rs 63.8 crores and emerging as the second highest opener of all times, Animal has been roaring loud at the box office. In fact, the positive word of mouth is adding to Animal's collection and this Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is shattering records at the box office every day.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Animal witnessed a collection of Rs 66.59 crores on the second day and it took the overall collection to Rs 129.80 crores. As Animal has managed to cross Rs 100 crores, it has managed to dethrone Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan to create a major record. Yes! Animal has managed to become the fastest Hindi movie to cross Rs 100 crores mark. To note, Jawan had raked in Rs 123 crores in two days and is now securing the second position.

Meanwhile, Animal has also recorded the second highest day 2 collection after Pathaan (Rs 68 crores) and second highest first Saturday collection after Jawan (Rs 68.72 crores).

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.

The movie features Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun Singh, and Anil Kapoor as Balbir Singh, Arjun's father. Bobby Deol played the role of Abrar Haque and Rashmika Mandanna played Geetanjali. The Animal movie also stars Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi, Ravi Gupta, Babloo Prithveeraj, Siddhant Karnick, Indira Krishnan, Upendra Limaye, Saurabh Sachdeva, Maganti Srinath among others in key roles.
