Animal Box Office Collection Day 3: Ranbir’s Film FAILS To Beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan; Creates THESE Records

The year 2023 has witnessed several box office hits which has left the audience in awe. Among these is Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent directorial Animal which is an action thriller and features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead. The movie has opened to a rave response from the audience and it has been roaring loud at the box office since the first day.

After emerging as Ranbir and Bobby Deol's highest opener, Animal has managed to witness a phenomenal opening weekend with earth shattering numbers. Interestingly, Animal recorded its highest collection in a single day on the third day of release (first Sunday) with a collection of Rs 71.46 crores. To note, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has made a collection of Rs 63.46 crores in Hindi.

Despite a phenomenal performance at the box office, Animal has failed to beat Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan's collection. However, it did register new records to its name. After all, Animal has now recorded the second highest day 3 collection after Jawan (Rs 68.72 crores) and also the second highest first Sunday collection after Jawan (Rs 71.63 crores). And while Animal continues to go strong at the box office, it will be interesting to see how it will fare in the coming days.

Interestingly, Animal has also recorded as the fastest Hindi movie to cross Rs 200 crores and achieved the feat in just 3 days of release. This isn't all. Animal is also going wild at the worldwide box office wherein it has managed to rake in Rs 360 crores in three days and is expected to cross Rs 400 crores mark today (day 4).

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
