Animal Box Office Day 4: Ranbir’s Film Sees 44% Drop As It Records Lowest Collection On First Monday

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which has been one of the biggest releases of the year, has emerged as a giant tsunami that has been sweeping away all the attention of the movie-goers. This Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead and has opened to a phenomenal response from the audience which is evident from the box office numbers.
As the viewers have been in awe of Ranbir and Bobby's swag in the film, this action drama has been going wild at the box office and managed to rake in over Rs 200 crores in just three days of release. In fact, Animal became the fastest Bollywood movie to achieve the feat. However, the first Monday came as a small roadblock in the Animal's winning streak.
According to the recent box office update shared by Sacnilk, Animal has witnessed a drop of 44% in its collections on day 4 (first Monday). The report suggested that Animal minted Rs 39.9 crores on day 4 of release which took the overall collections to Rs 241.73 crores. To note, this happens to be Animal's lowest single day collection ever since release. And while there have been speculations about Animal crossing Rs 250 crores on day 4, it has clearly failed to do so.
It will be interesting to see if Animal will be able to pick up pace in the coming days. Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
