Animal BO Day 5: Sandeep’s Film BEATS Brahmastra To Become Ranbir’s 2nd Biggest Hit; Will It Surpass Sanju?

Animal Beats Brahmastra To Create THIS Record

Ranbir Kapoor, who is known for giving several breathtaking performances onscreen, is now creating ripples with his recent release. We are talking about Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial Animal which is touted to be a gory action drama and also features Suresh Oberoi, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in key roles. The movie presented Ranbir in a never seen before avatar and it has left the audience in complete aww.

Interestingly, Animal has been roaring loud at the box office and coming with earth-shattering numbers almost every day. After becoming Ranbir's highest opener, Animal had recently earned Rs 38.25 crores on day 5 (first Tuesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 283.74 crores. Needless to say, Animal is unstoppable and is expected to achieve several milestones in the coming days.

Amid this, Animal has managed to make heads turn as it has surpasses the lifetime collection of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra to be the Barfi actor's second biggest hit ever. For the uninitiated, Brahmastra had made the lifetime collection of Rs 257.44 crores in India. And while Animal has surpassed Brahmastra, we wonder if it will be able to beat Sanju (Rs 342 crores) and become Ranbir's biggest hit ever.

Well, give Animal's stronghold at the box office, there is a possibility for the Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial surpassing Sanju. After all, Animal is likely to cross the Rs 300 crores mark today (day 6/first Wednesday) and is looking forward to achieving more milestones.

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
