Animal Box Office Day 5: Ranbir’s Film Surpasses Tiger 3 Lifetime Collection Despite Another Dip In Numbers

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been going wild and crazy at the box office ever since it hit the theatres. The movie, which has been helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also features Suresh Oberoi, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna and has been touted to be a gory action drama. Opened to a thunderous response, Animal continues its winning streak during the first week.

Interestingly, Animal witnessed its first drop in collections on the first Monday but continued to have a strong hold at the ticket windows and passed the Monday test with decent numbers. And now, as per a recent update from Sacnilk, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has witnessed another dip of 12% in the collections on day 5 (first Tuesday).

Reportedly, Animal raked in a collection of Rs 38.25 crores on day 5 (first Tuesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 283.74 crores. Interestingly, with an impressive performance at the box office, Animal has managed to cross the lifetime collection of Salman Khan's Tiger 3 which was around Rs 282.30 (as mentioned by Bollywood Hungama).

Meanwhile, Animal is all set to cross Rs 300 crores in India today and inching towards Rs 500 crores mark at the worldwide box office. It will be interesting to see if the movie will continue its winning streak in the coming days

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
