Animal Box Office Day 6: Ranbir’s Film Crosses 300Cr; Beats SRK’s Jawan, Pathaan But Fails To Beat Gadar 2

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had left everyone in awe with his debut Bollywood debut Kabir Singh, is now making headlines for his recent directorial. We are talking about Animal which features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Suresh Oberoi, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol and has emerged as a gory action drama. The movie has opened to rave reviews from the audience and it is touted to be Ranbir's best performance to date.
As expected Animal has taken over the box office like a giant storm and is achieving new milestones almost everyday. It's been a week since Animal has released and despite some drops in collection, it continues to roar loud at the box office. In fact, Animal has done a fabulous job and managed to mint Rs 282.96 crores in India in just 5 days of release.
Maintaining the winning streak, Animal has managed to cross Rs 300 crores mark at the box office in just six days of release. According to a recent report by Sacnilk, Animal has managed to rake in Rs 29.61 crores at the box office on day 6 (first Wednesday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 312 crores. Interestingly, Animal (Rs26.68 crores in Hindi) has managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan Jawan and Pathaan and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 in the sixth day collection. However, the Ranbir starrer failed to surpass Gadar 2 and ended up recording the second highest 6th day collection.
For the uninitiated, Jawan made a collection of Jawan made a collection of Rs 24 crores (Hindi) on the 6th day of release while Pathaan minted Rs 25.5 crores. On the other hand, Baahubali 2 earned 26 crores while it was 32.37 crores for Gadar 2. Meanwhile, Animal has also reportedly crossed Rs 500 crores worldwide in six days.
Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
