Animal BO Day 8: Ranbir’s Film To Cross 600Cr Worldwide; Will It Beat Gadar 2 Lifetime Earnings This Weekend?

Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent collaboration Animal has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. And while it has been a week since the movie has hit the theatres, Animal has been doing wonders at the box office. The action drama has managed to become the third fastest film to cross Rs 300 crore mark (in 7 days) after Jawan and Pathaan.
Animal is not just roaring loud in India but is also setting the box office on fire across the world as well. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has managed to to rake in earth-shattering numbers at the worldwide box office as well. While it had managed to cross Rs 550 crores worldwide in a week, it is expected to achieve another milestone today.
To note, Animal has minted Rs 563.3 crores in seven days so far. Given the stronghold of Animal at the ticket windows, this Ranbir Kapoor starrer is set to cross Rs 600 crores at the worldwide box office today (day 8/second Friday) ahead of the second weekend. Interestingly, Animal is expected to go strong during the weekend and is expected to cross the worldwide lifetime collection of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2.
For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had made a collection of Rs 691.08 crores (as stated by Bollywood Hungama). It will be interesting to see how Animal will be performing in the second week.
Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
