Animal BO Day 9: Ranbir’s Film Crosses 600Cr Worldwide; Eyes On 650Cr Today

After the phenomenal response to his Bollywood debut Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is now making headlines for his recent release Animal. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol in the lead, the action drama had opened to a massive response from the audience. Animal has set the box office on fire since the day one and has been creating new records.

It started as recording Ranbir's highest opener, Animal has been creating ripples at the box office with its earth shattering numbers. Animal recorded Rs 300 crores in just six days and has been going crazy at the box office. Not just in India, Animal has been roaring loud at the worldwide box office as well and it has been reaching new milestones every day.

To note, Animal has minted Rs 563.3 crores in seven days at the worldwide box office so far and ended up crossing Rs 600.67 crores on day 8 (second Saturday). Given the stronghold of Animal at the ticket windows, this Ranbir Kapoor starrer is eyeing to cross Rs 650 crores at the worldwide box office today (day 9/second Saturday).

Interestingly, Animal is expected to go strong during the weekend and is expected to cross the worldwide lifetime collection of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had made a collection of Rs 691.08 crores (as stated by Bollywood Hungama). It will be interesting to see how Animal will be performing in the second week.

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
