Animal Box Office Day 1: Ranbir’s Film Heads Towards 116Cr Worldwide; Fails To Beat SRK’s Jawan?

Ranbir Kapoor's recent release Animal has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action drama came with a stellar cast of Ranbir, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna and has opened to rave reviews from the audience. To note, Animal has witnessed a thunderous response the Indian box office.

Interestingly, Animal has opened a massive response across the world as well. After all, the trailer, teaser and posters have got the fans already excited. Amid the massive fanfare, Animal has crossed Rs 100 crores worldwide on the first day at the box office. Yes! You read it right

According to a recent update shared by Sacnilk, Animal has raked in an opening day collection of Rs 116 crores worldwide and record the second highest worldwide opening after Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. For the uninitiated, Jawan had made a collection of Rs 129 crores.

Interestingly, Animal has made a collection of Rs 61 crores on the first day at the Indian box office collection. With a thunderous response, Animal has recorded the second highest opening collection after Jawan and has emerged as Ranbir's highest opener ever.

Given the buzz around Animal, it is expected to continue roaring loud at the box office on the second day as well. To note, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has made an advance booking collection of over Rs 28 crores for the second day, hopes are high about Animal crossing Rs 100 crores mark on the second day.

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema".
