Animal vs Sam Bahadur Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Ranbir’s Film To Beat Vicky’s War Film With A Huge Gap

As the month of December is about to begin, the Indian box office is set to witness one of the most anticipated clashes of the year. We are talking about the box office clash between Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal and Vicky Kaushal's war drama Sam Bahadur. Both movies have been among the biggest releases of 2023 and are set to hit the screens on December 1.

For the uninitiated, Animal is an action thriller helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in the lead. On the other hand, Sam Bahadur happens to be a Meghna Gulzar directorial and is based on the life of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. The movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in the lead.

As Animal and Sam Bahadur are set to release on December 1, there has been a buzz about how the movies will fare at the box office on the opening day. According to a report published in the Times of India, Animal is likely to beat Sam Bahadur with a huge gap. Film distributor Rajesh Thadani told the Times of India, "We can expect a number of about Rs 40 crore from Animal on Friday, while 'Sam Bahadur' should garner around Rs 5-10 crore".

To note, Sam Bahadur has received a decent response from the audience so far in terms of advance booking. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sam Bahadur has earned Rs 2.49 crores from advance booking so far and over 83K tickets have been sold for the same. On the other hand, Animal has minted over Rs 26 crores from advance booking and over 10 lakhs tickets sold in India.

Meanwhile, talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema".
