Animal Box Office Day 18: Ranbir’s Film To See Massive Dip On 3rd Monday After Entering 500cr Club

Ranbir Kapoor has been all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, his recent release Animal has been setting the box office on fire. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, Animal, which also featured Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in the lead, presented Ranbir in a never seen before avatar.
Animal has been roaring loud at the box office since the day one and registered several records in its name. In fact, it also managed to beat the lifetime collection of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's biggest release of the year Tiger 3 and also emerged as Ranbir's highest grossing film of all times. And now, as Animal has entered the third week of release, Animal has entered the coveted Rs 500 crores club.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Animal made a collection of Rs 14.9 crores on day 17 (third Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 512.94 crores. And now, Animal is likely to witness a massive dip in collection today (day 18/third Monday). In fact, it has managed to rake in just Rs 1 lakhs from the early morning shows.
With Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar set to hit the theatres this week, it will be interesting to see if Animal will manage to stay steady during the third week and beat the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol's Gadar 3 in this week.
Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
