Animal Box Office Day 20 Prediction: Ranbir’s Film Beats Gadar 2’s Lifetime Collection Today

Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor's first collaboration Animal has turned out to be a massive hit and there are no second thoughts about it. Also starring Triptii Dimri, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, the action drama has set the box office on fire since the first day. From becoming Ranbir's highest opener to becoming his highest grossing movie of all times and more, Animal has registered several records to its name

Interestingly, Animal entered the Rs 400 crore club during the second weekend and crossed the Rs 500 crores mark during the third weekend. Although the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial witnessed an impressive spike at the box office during the weekend, it witnessed a major drop in collections on day 18 (third Monday). However, Animal continues to remain steady post a significant drop.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Animal minted Rs 5 crores on day 19 (third Tuesday) which took the overall collection of the movie Rs 522.94 crores. Given Animal's hold at the box office, Animal is likely to remain steady and is expected to mint Rs 4-5 crores at the box office today (day 20/third Wednesday). Interestingly, Animal is all set to beat the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's Gadar 2 which has been one of the biggest releases of the year. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 made a lifetime collection of Rs 525.7 crores.

Meanwhile, Animal witnessed a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
