Animal Box Office Collection Day 27: Ranbir’s Action Thriller Struggles To Make 1Cr Amid Dunki vs Salaar Clash

Ranbir Kapoor has all the reasons to be on cloud nine these days and rightfully so. After all, his recent release Animal has emerged as one of the biggest releases of the year. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal has been a gory action thriller which also featured Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol. The movie has opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics and has managed to set the box office on fire.

Interestingly, Animal registered several records at the box office - be it becoming Ranbir and Bobby's highest opener to Ranbir's highest grossing film ever, becoming one of the fastest Bollywood films to cross Rs 200, Rs 300 crores and more. Interestingly, Animal has managed to enter the coveted Rs 500 crore club before completing a month at the ticket windows.

And now that Animal is in the fourth week, it seems to be losing its grip at the box office. In fact, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial witnessed a drop of over 50 yesterday (day 26/) wherein it minted Rs 88 lakhs. It is evident that Animal is struggling to make a collection of Rs 1 crore at the box office these days as the box office is witnessing an ongoing clash between Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki and Prabhas' Dunki.

As per the ongoing trend, Animal is likely to mint Rs 70-80 lakhs today (day 27/ fourth Wednesday) which is said to be the lowest single day collection of the movie so far. It is evident that Salaar vs Dunki clash has taken a toll on Animal's box office collection.

Talking about Animal's box office success, Sandeep Reddy Vanga told IndiaToday.in, "I was expecting the film to do well, I knew it would do 600 crores to 700 crores but wasn't expecting these huge numbers. It has already crossed the 800 crores mark, which was a surprise for me and I am very happy with the collection. Even with the reviews, the film has done great numbers at the box office and as a filmmaker, I am happy."
