Animal Box Office Day 2: Ranbir’s Action Drama Crosses 100Cr; Beats Jawan To Create THIS Record

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which has been one of the biggest releases of the year, has managed to take over the box office with a storm. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead, this Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has opened to rave reviews from the audience and the box office collection speaks volumes about Animal's success.

The action drama has emerged as Ranbir's highest opener, Animal has recorded the second highest opening day collection ever. To note, Animal had made a collection of Rs 63.8 crores on the first day and there have been massive speculations about how the movie will perform on the second day (first Saturday). And now, as per a recent update, Animal has managed to cross Rs 100 crore mark on the second itself

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Animal has raked in Rs 51.29 crores so far which has taken the overall collection of the film to Rs 115.09 crores. However, the numbers are likely to grow by the end of the day. Meanwhile Animal has managed to beat Jawan on the second day of release to become the second fastest movie to cross Rs 100 crores after Pathaan.

Besides, Animal has also managed to rake in the second highest two days collection after Pathaan. To note, Pathaan had raked in Rs 123 crores in first two days of release while Jawan had minted Rs 111.73 crores in two days.

Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema".
