Animal Vs Sam Bahadur Box Office Day 2: Vicky’s Film Shows Growth As Ranbir Starrer Continues To Roar Loud

The month of December started with a bang as the Bollywood industry witnessed a massive box office clash between Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal and Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur. Both have been among the most talked about and most anticipated movies which have got the fans excited despite being from different genres. To note, while Animal is an action drama Sam Bahadur happens to be a biographical war drama based on the life of India's first field marshal Sam Manekshaw.

Ever since Animal and Sam Bahadur have hit the theatres, there have been frequent comparisons between the two movies and there have been speculations about which movie will fare better at the box office. As per the first day box office report, Animal had managed to beat Sam Bahadur with a huge gap. While Animal made a collection of Rs 63.8 crores, Sam Bahadur struggled at Rs 6.25 crores.

Interestingly, Sam Bahadur has shown growth on the second day amid Animal mania. According to a report published in Sacnilk, while the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has made a collection of Rs 66 crores so far on day 2 with a total collection of Rs 129.80 crores, the Meghna Gulzar directorial has managed to rake in Rs 9.25 crores and taken the overall collection of Sam Bahadur to Rs 15 crores.

It will be interesting to see how both Animal and Sam Bahadur will fare during the opening weekend and which records the movies will break in the coming days. Earlier, talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema".
