Bholaa
Day
1
Box
Office
Collection:
Ajay
Devgn's
fourth
directorial
movie
Bholaa
has
hit
theatres
on
Friday,
March
30.
The
movie
is
an
official
remake
of
Karthi's
superhit
Tamil
film
Kaithi.
Devgn's
fans
have
been
eagerly
waiting
for
the
movie's
release
as
it
offers
some
high-octane
action
and
drama.
Also
starring
Tabu
in
a
key
role,
Bholaa
kicked
off
the
day
by
selling
around
84,000
tickets
across
the
country.
It
also
stars
Deepak
Dobriyal,
Sanjay
Mishra,
Vineet
Kumar,
and
Gajraj
Rao,
amongst
others.
The
actioner
is
expected
to
see
a
jump
in
the
northern
belt
given
the
premise
of
the
movie
and
the
partial
holiday
due
to
Ram
Navami.
Moreover,
the
thriller
is
also
highly
dependent
on
word
of
mouth
and
critics'
reviews.
Meanwhile,
Bholaa
saw
a
morning
occupancy
of
around
11
to
13
percent,
which
is
a
slow
start
for
a
movie
this
big.
BHOLAA
DAY
1
BOX
OFFICE
COLLECTION
Ajay
Devgn
makes
his
return
to
the
silver
screen
after
the
massive
success
of
Drishyam
2
with
his
lucky
mascot
Tabu.
The
movie
is
also
being
released
in
3D.
Looking
at
the
early
estimates,
Bholaa
is
expected
to
earn
something
around
Rs
11
crore
to
Rs
15
crore.
On
the
other
hand,
Bholaa
will
face
tough
competition
from
the
Telugu
movie
Dasara,
which
was
also
released
on
March
30.
Starring
Nani
and
Keerthy
Suresh
in
the
lead,
Dasara
is
said
to
have
made
huge
in
advance
booking,
but
while
both
are
mass
entertainers,
it
has
to
be
seen
which
movie
makes
it
to
the
top.
Speaking
exclusively
to
Filmibeat,
film
producer
and
business
expert
Girish
Johar
said,
"If
the
film
opens
with
a
double
digit
anywhere
around
10,
11,
or
12
crores,
that
will
be
a
comfortable
step
or
a
foothold
in
the
box
office
door.
So
that
it
has
a
good,
long
run
at
the
box
office.
It
can
build
upon
there.
Further,
any
number
higher
than
10-12
is
brilliant.
But
if
it's
anywhere
around
ten
to
twelve
crore
on
day
one,
I
think
it's
a
good
start."
Ajay
will
be
seen
playing
the
titular
character
in
Bholaa,
who
is
going
home
to
meet
his
young
daughter
after
spending
10
years
of
his
life
in
jail.
The
obstacles
and
threats
he
faces
on
his
path
form
the
basic
storyline
of
Bholaa.
Tabu
will
be
seen
playing
a
cop
after
Kuttey.
