Dream Girl 2 Box Office Day 1 Collection: Dream Girl 2, the highly-anticipated sequel starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead has hit theaters today. With its release, all eyes are on whether the film can replicate the impressive success of its predecessor, Dream Girl.

As per a report by industry trade insider, Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that the film may earn around 9.00 crore net in India, which will not surpass the collection of the original. The film recorded 16.81% occupancy in morning shows in Hindi cinema halls across the country.

The initial response to advance bookings and screenings indicated a positive opening, but only the final numbers will reveal whether Ayushmann Khurrana's charm and the sequel's storyline can create magic at the box office once again.

Meanwhile, trade analyst in his review for the film, Dream Girl 2 wrote, "#DreamGirl2 is a joyride, its sole funda is to entertain... Has it all: Witty one-liners, cleverly-crafted situations, well-timed jokes and dollops of humour... A worthy second instalment."
