Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Pandey starrer comedy film Dream Girl 2 hit cinemas on August 25. As a sequel to the 2019 hit film of the same name, the audience's response to the movie has been mixed.

The first installment was produced with a budget of Rs 28 crore and managed to accumulate a staggering Rs 200 crore in earnings. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the second part is expected to create a similar enchantment, as it kicked off on a solid note on day 1 by earning around 10 cr.

Dream Girl 2 is expected to give tough competition to giants OMG 2, Gadar 2, and Jailer, which have been running at the box office for over three weeks now. While reports suggest that the film will see a surge on its first Saturday and Sunday.

Ayushmann's comedy flick opened on a good note in India, as it collected around Rs 10.69 crore nett. Meanwhile, a report by trade website Sacnilk stated that the film, on its second day, August 26, will earn Rs 13 crore, which is a big surge.

With this, the film's total collection will stand at Rs 23.69 crore. It will have an overall 28.97% Hindi occupancy on Saturday. Dream Girl 2's worldwide collection stands at 12.6 cr.

The film's story revolves around Karam (Ayushmann), who is disguised as Pooja. Ananya Panday plays his love interest, Pari. The first installment had Nushrrat Baruccha, who has been replaced by Ananya.

Besides Anyushmaan and Ananya, the film also stars Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, and Vijay Raaz. It has been bankrolled by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
