Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: This year's most-talked-about movie, Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, has been keeping a steady pace at the box office.

Released amid the Gadar 2 wave on August 25, the film received a lukewarm response from moviegoers. The sequel to the hit 2019 movie of the same name, Dream Girl 2, entered the 50 crore club on day 5.

After enjoying a good weekend, Dream Girl 2 witnessed a decent Monday at Rs 5.42 crore. It started off on a decent note on Friday by earning 10.69 crore at the box office in India, marking Ayushmann's biggest opener of his career.

On Saturday, day 2, it minted Rs 14.02 crore, while on Sunday, day 3, it made Rs 16 crore. The comedy flick on day 5 on Tuesday earned Rs 5.70 crore.

So far, the film's total domestic box office collection stands at Rs 51.83 crore. It had an overall 17.67 per cent occupancy on August 29. Despite the film crossing the 50 crore mark at the box office, its ticket sales remain sluggish.

About Dream Girl 2

The film's plot revolves around a small-town boy, Karam (played by Ayushmann Khurrana), who, in order to earn quick bucks, disguises himself as Pooja, creating chaos in his love life. Ananya Panday palsy hsi love interest Pari.

Backed by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Seema Pahwa, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, and Annu Kapoor.
