Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collection Day 8 Prediction: Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer romantic comedy drama movie Dream Girl 2 is keeping a strong hold at the domestic box office despite releasing alongside Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2.

The film premiered on August 25 in cinemas and has slowly witnessed considerable growth in ticket sales. Meanwhile, if it maintains the same pace, it will soon enter the 100-crore club.

Dream Girl 2 has turned out to be Ayushamann's most successful film in his career. The film is a sequel to 2019's hit film of the same name. It started off on a positive note by earning a whopping Rs 10.69 crore in India on its opening day.

On August 31, which is day 7, it earned 8 crore, taking its total collection to Rs 67.50 crore net in India. On Thursday, it had a total occupancy of 26.65%.

On its first Saturday, it made Rs 14.02 crore, Rs 16 crore on its first Sunday, day 3, Rs 5.42 crore on its first Monday, day 4, Rs 5.87 crore on its first Tuesday, day 5, and Rs 7.50 crore on its first Wednesday, day 6.

As per trade website Sacnilk, Dream Girl 2 may earn 4.00 crore in India net on its eighth day. Therefore, taking its total collection to 71.00 crore, its global collection will stand at 89.1 million.

It remains to be seen how the film will perform once Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan hits theaters.

Khurrana in Dream Girl 2 plays Karam, who decides to crossdress as Pooja to make quick bucks to marry his love Pari, played by Ananya Panday. However, this leads to a web of lies and chaos.

The film also features Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, and Seema Pahwa and is bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor's banner Balaji films.
