Ayushmann Khurrana is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, he is coming up with the much anticipated Dream Girl 2. Also starring Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Manjot Singh etc in the lead, Dream Girl 2 is set to hit the theatres on August 25 and will feature Ayushmann bringing back the jadu of Pooja.

From the trailer to the songs, everything about Dream Girl 2 has been making the headlines. And while the team of the film is leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie and are having high expectations for Dream Girl 2, the movie will be witnessing a tough competition from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2.

Recently, Filmibeat exclusively spoke to producer and film business expert Girish Johar who is of the opinion that Dream Girl 2 holds a chance to stand at the box office. "Seeing the cost of Dream Girl 2 and its marketing and the promotions which they have done very smartly, getting the audience's interest, I would be happy if the film opens up anywhere between 8-10 cr to start with. Seeing competition, seeing Gadar 2 and OMG 2, if it opens in this particular number it has a good chance of consolidating over the weekend. It's a foot in the door kind of a number, but if it opens up with this number which is a pretty good number, so it can build upon and can have a solid weekend," he emphasised.

Meanwhile, Dream Girl 2 will mark Ayushmann's first collaboration with Ananya Panday and their new chemistry is grabbing a lot of eyeballs. Interestingly, Dream Girl 2 will also be witnessing a box office clash with Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer Akelli. It will be interesting to see how Dream Girl 2 fare at the box office.
