Dream Girl 2 Day 4 BO Prediction: Ayushmann’s Film Witnesses Major Drop; Will It Fail Crucial Monday Test?

Ayushmann Khurrana's recent release Dream Girl 2 has been all over the headlines lately. After all, this Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial marks Ayushmann's return as Pooja and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Also starring Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh etc in the lead, Dream Girl 2 had opened to decent reviews at the box office.

In fact, it also saw a stupendous start at the box office with an impressive first weekend. Yes! After an opening collection of Rs 10.69 cr, which marks Ayushmann's career best opening so far, Dream Girl 2 witnessed a jump in collections on both the second and third day and took the collection to around 40 crores in three days.

However, according to media reports, Dream Girl 2 has slowed down on the fourth day and is likely to fail the crucial Monday test post a major drop in collections. As per a report published in Sacnilk, Dream Girl 2 will reportedly be earning Rs 5 crore on the first Monday which marks the first drop in the movie's collection. While the official numbers are yet to be out, if the reports turned out to be true, it will take the overall collection of the movie to Rs 45.71 crore.

Interestingly, Dream Girl 2 has been witnessing a strong competition from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel 2 starrer Gadar 2. The Anil Sharma directorial has emerged as a tsunami at the box office that has been sweeping away all the new releases.

Earlier, talking about the stupendous opening at the box office, Ayushmann stated, "It feels amazing to deliver my career's best opening with Dream Girl 2. Dream Girl is a franchise that has given me a lot of love and I'm really happy with the start that Dream Girl 2 has got at the box office".
