Dunki vs Salaar Advance Booking US: Prabhas’ Film Continues To Thrash SRK’s Film; Latter Mints 1.7Cr For Day 1

The year 2023 is coming to an end in a couple of days and the box office is set to witness the last but a mega box office clash. We are talking about the upcoming box office clash between Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar. While Dunki, which is touted to be a comedy drama, is set to release on December 21, Salaar, which is an action thriller, will be hitting the screens on December 22. As both the movies are among the most anticipated releases of the year, the buzz around them are substantial.

Interestingly, Dunki and Salaar have been creating ripples not just in India but across the world as well. And while the advance booking of the same have begun in Indian and USA, it is receiving a fabulous response. Needless to say, the clash has sparked a competition between Dunki and Salaar and fans are curious to know which of the two films is leading.

Well, according to a recent update shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan Dunki has made a collection of $206,877 [₹1.71 cr] in USA with the sale of 15,016 tickets for 1,259 shows across 445 locations. On the other hand, Salaar has been soaring high in the United States and has crossed the earning of $1 million [₹8.49 cr]. Yes! It is reported that around 38,473 tickets have been sold for 1,376 shows across 430 locations in USA.

It is evident that Salaar has managed to beat Dunki on the first day of advance booking for the day of release in the United States. Meanwhile, talking about the clash, Salaar producer Vijay Kirangdur told Bollywood Hungama, "We don't want things to be ugly. We are already having meetings with the exhibitors and distributors. When we have a solo release, the occupancy generally will be around 60-70 percent. Some screens will go to 'Aquaman', but between Salaar and 'Dunki', we hope to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario. In such a scenario, if an occupancy of 90-100 percent is achieved, it'll be a good result for both films".
