Dunki Box Office Collection Day 10: SRK’s Comedy Drama To See A Hike In Numbers Today; To Cross 175Cr

Shah Rukh Khan has been the ultimate box office king and he has proved it yet again this year. After returning to big screen after a hiatus, he set the box office on fire with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan and later with Atlee's Jawan. And as he geared up for the third release of the year - Dunki - there were high expectations with the Rajkumar Hirani directorial raking in large numbers at the box office.

To note, Dunki, which also features Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal, was based on a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique and opened to mixed reactions from the audience and the critics. In fact, it has an average box office response with an opening day collection of Rs 29.2 crores. And while Dunki has been witnessing a continuous drop in collections since Christmas this year, it is likely to see some hike in collections during second weekend.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki made a collection of Rs 7.25 crores which took the overall collection of the film to Rs 167.47 crores. And as the second weekend has begun, Dunki is likely to rake in around Rs 10 crores today (day 10/ second Saturday). It is evident that Dunki is likely to cross Rs 175 crores mark at the box office today. It will be interesting to see if Dunki will be able to cross Rs 200 crores mark during the second week at the box office.

Interestingly, Dunki is witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 95 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release.
