Dunki Box Office Day 2 Prediction: SRK’s Comedy Drama Goes Steady After A Grand Response; To Cross 50Cr

Shah Rukh Khan's massive fan following can't keep calm these days and rightfully so. After all, he has turned out to be a true box office king this year. While he started the year on a great note with the release of Siddharth Anand's Pathaan and went on to set the box office on fire with Atlee's Jawan mid-year. And now, Shah Rukh Khan is making headlines for his third release of the year - Dunki.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in key roles and it has opened to a decent review from the audience and the critic. The audience has found it to be a heartwarming story and fans can't stop gushing about SRK and Vicky's performance. Interestingly, there has been a massive buzz about whether King Khan will be able to recreate the magic of Pathaan and Jawan at the box office.

To note, Dunki saw a good start at the box office with a collection of Rs 30 crores on the first day of release. And while it continues to have a good hold at the ticket windows, given the advance booking report shared by Sacnilk, it is expected that Dunki will go steady at the box office on day 2 (first Friday) and is expected to mint Rs 25-30 crores today which is likely to take the over all collection of the movie to Rs 55-60 crores.

Meanwhile, Dunki is facing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Salaar and Jason Momoa starrer Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. Talking about the clash, Salaar producer Vijay Kirangdur told Bollywood Hungama, "We don't want things to be ugly. We are already having meetings with the exhibitors and distributors. When we have a solo release, the occupancy generally will be around 60-70 percent. Some screens will go to 'Aquaman', but between Salaar and 'Dunki', we hope to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario. In such a scenario, if an occupancy of 90-100 percent is achieved, it'll be a good result for both films".
