Dunki X Review: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Comes Like Fresh Air, ‘Story With Heart’; To Be A Treat For Women Folk

Shah Rukh Khan is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, he is gearing up for his third release of the year - Dunki. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, the comedy drama also features Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Interestingly, after the stupendous success of Pathaan and Jawan, fans are hoping for a box office hattrick from King Khan.

The teaser and trailers, posters and songs, everything about Dunki has been adding to the audience's excitement. Needless to say, Shah Rukh's fans across the world are waiting with bated breath for the release of Dunki. Film producer and film trade expert Girish Johar took to micro-blogging site Twitter (now X) and is all praises for Dunki. He stated that it will be a breath of fresh air for the audience amid the current action genre films ruling the box office. He also emphasised that Dunki will be a treat to the women audience. Girish Johar tweeted, "After a streak of action films galore at 2023 #BoxOffice...#Dunki comes like fresh air ...strronng, emotional, message ...story with a heart.. will be lapped up by the left over / deprived "women folk" (throughout year). They will front end the demand leading to families walkins at the tkt window"

Dunki Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction

Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Girish Johar revealed that Shah Rukh Khan starrer will be off to a "fantastic start". He stated, "Dunki will definitely see Rs 30-35 crores+ which is a fantastic number for a non holiday. And I think there is a reason behind releasing it on 21st which is a Thursday, probably they would want the word of mouth to kick in by the weekend which is a smart strategy by the makers".

Dunki Advance Booking Report Day 1

Interestingly, Dunki will be witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Salaar. While the advance booking of the movies have already begun, both movies are giving a tough fight to each other. It is reported Dunki has raked in over Rs 15.41 crores in advance booking so far, while Salaar has minted over Rs 29.35 crores from advance booking in India so far.
