Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan day 1 prediction: Salman Khan, in a career spanning over three decades, has been able to maintain his stardom. His most anticipated family entertainer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, is just a day away from its grand release. All eyes are on Khan, as everyone is eagerly awaiting to see how the Dabangg actor's charm works this time.

However, KKBKKJ will be testing the waters at the theatres as, post Pathaan, most films have failed at the box office, and there are high hopes for the movie to make big numbers. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh Daguubati in key roles. But the question is: will it be able to live up to the expectations?

HOW IS THE BUZZ AROUND THE FILM?

Producer and film business expert Girish Johar thinks the Eid festival will draw a huge crowd at the box office. In an exclusive interaction with Filmibeat, he said that traditionally, the festival has benefited Salman Khan's films, as it has become a lifestyle over all these years that fans would go and watch Khan's movies.

He further said that while the festival used to give a strong opening to Khan's films. Johar believes a few parameters of the film business have changed in the post-pandemic world. "First, the box office dynamics have been rewritten, and second, the audience's content consumption pattern and quality have changed a lot."

According to Johar, another important factor that might affect Salman Khan's major solo release is the official confirmation of the actual date of Eid. If Eid's date gets pushed back by a day, Johar feels the movie might have a slow start. However, if Eid in India falls on Friday itself, "it will be a full-blown start for KKBKKJ. There are various variables in this, but the critical variable is quality content, and audiences have made it clear that they want to see good content in the theatres. Commercial content always gets mixed reviews but is usually liked by larger audiences."

HOW MUCH COULD KKBKKJ MAKE ON DAY 1?

Pointing out Salman Khan's strong following, Johar said the actor will also have to face the test of the new parameters. He said, "Earlier, his films used to make 30, 40, or 50 crores during Eid, but that is quite unlikely now."

He further added, "If the film opens anywhere around 15 to 18 crore, it's off to a very good start on day 1, provided the content is good. If Eid falls on Saturday and the content is not good, day one might be much lower than that. If the film is able to achieve the above numbers, it will create a positive path for the weekend."

WILL KKBKJ BEAT PATHAAN?

When asked whether KKBKKJ would be able to match what Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan registered at the box office, Johar said, "I would love for the fact that it would match or even, in fact, go beyond Pathaan, but it is a difficult thing to predict because of the audiences' evolved pattern of content consumption. There are no major releases in May, so if the film works, it will have five weeks to itself, which can make amazing numbers, and despite these tested and dreaded box office times, he can very easily build upon that.
