Exclusive! Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar Box Office Prediction: Ranbir-Shraddha Kapoor Rom-Com Set To Sizzle On Holi

Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar, starring Shraddha and Ranbir Kapoor, has created a massive buzz amongst the audience since the release of its trailer. The year 2023 has been a disaster for all major Bollywood releases except for Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. Therefore, all eyes are now on Luv Ranjan's rom-com, which is releasing on March 8, 2023. The fresh pairing of Ranbir and Shraddha, and the former's first attempt at a role so eccentric, has already piqued fans interest in the movie. TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR DAY 1 PREDICTION

While speaking to Filmibeat in an exclusive interview, producer & film business expert Girish Johar gave a heads up on the early estimates of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar's first-day box-office prediction. According to Johar, the film has already gained good traction, and it might make an excellent number on its first day of release. He said, "We all know that Ranbir Kapoor is coming after a while in his light comedy avatar. And he is coming along with Shraddha Kapoor, who also has a huge fan following. And director Love Ranjan is a successful and very big filmmaker. So it's a very good, deadly combination of all three coming together with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar."

Further, he added that the trailer and promos for the movie have been well received, and the promotions are also in full swing. "So, the awareness level is quite good, and it is giving off very positive vibes also. So I'm hoping for a very good start at the box office."

He added that Ranbir and Shraddha's on-screen pairing is looking good, which is why the environment and vibe surrounding Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar are quite positive. With the film releasing on Holi, Johar believes the vibe of the country is happy, which may have a positive effect on the movie as everybody is in a holiday mood. Thus, releasing Tu Jhooti Mian Makkaar during a festive week will eventually prove advantageous for the rom-com.

WHAT NUMBERS COULD TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR OPEN TO ON ITS FIRST DAY?

Talking about the numbers, Girish Johar told us that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar might lead to some good figures. "The film will open anywhere around the Rs 10 to Rs 12 crore mark on its day one. And if the word of mouth is good, it can close day one on a higher number also. But if the word of mouth or the appreciation level are not as matching as expected, it can come down. But having a day one of around ten to twelve crores is a very comfortable start to the film," he said.
