Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 37: Sunny’s Film Sees 29% Jump On Saturday Amid Jawan Wave; Crosses 518Cr

Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 has been a massive hit at the box office and there are no second thoughts about it. The movie marked Sunny and Ameesha Patel's return as Tara Singh and Sakina on the big screen after two decades and it left the fans in awe. Gadar 2 has opened to a rave response from the audience.

While Gadar 2 ruled the box office unopposed for almost a month crushing other releases, its collections took a massive hit after the release of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. However, despite the Jawan toofan at the box office, the Anil Sharma directorial continued to have a stronghold at the ticket windows.

And now, after a week of Jawan mania, Gadar 2 finally saw a hike in collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 witnessed a jump of 29% in collections on its sixth Saturday. The report suggested that the Sunny Deol starrer made a collection of Rs 57 lakhs on day 37 despite a competition from Jawan.

Given its pace, there are reports about Gadar 2 surpassing the lifetime collection of Pathaan (Hindi) which happens to be around Rs 525 crores. Overwhelmed with the success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol told Variety, "The last I saw this kind of celebration happening was when 'Gadar' released and the people were enjoying and celebrating it. And after that, one is getting to see all this. I'm just on top of the world and feeling so happy"
