Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: It looks like history is going to repeat itself as Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 is set to shatter box office records. The film was released on August 11 and has become the second-highest opener of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.

The highly anticipated movie brings back the iconic love story of Tara Singh and Shakina, 22 years after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha created magic in 2001. The film is expected to do spectacular business in the coming days, as fans are going crazy.

Even before hitting the theatres, Gadar 2 had earned hefty figures through advance booking as it sold more than 2.7 lakh tickets. As per reports, the film earned Rs 40 crore on day 1 and had an overall occupancy of over 60%, while night shows accounted for an astounding 86% occupancy.

Shah Rukh's Pathaan continues to hold the record for the biggest Bollywood debut with Rs 55 crore. However, Gadar 2 surpassed Prabhas' mythical epic Adipurush, which opened at Rs 32 crore, and Tu Jhooti Main Makkar, which made Rs 15 crore.

Meanwhile, the Anil Sharma directorial romantic-action drama is set to create amazing figures in the coming days, as the movie is expected to earn Rs 45 crore on its second day, according to industry tracker website Sacnilk. Note that these are early estimates.

With this, the film's total collection will reach 80 crore, making it Sunny Deol's first superhit movie in the last 12 years after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in 2001.

Helmed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is a follow-up story that is set during the tumultuous Crush India Movement of 1971. The film showcased Tara Singh's (Sunny Deol) and Sakeena's (Ameesha Patel) legacy, with Singh going all the way to Pakistan to bring back his son Jeete, played by Utkrash Sharma, who is imprisoned by the Pakistani Army.
