Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 27: Sunny’s Film Struggles To Cross Rs 510 Cr Ahead Of SRK’s Jawan Release

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has been one of the most talked about releases this year. This Anil Sharma directorial marked Sunny and Ameesha's return as Tara Singh and Sakina and it has been creating a massive buzz at the box office. After opening with rave reviews, Gadar 2 has emerged as a major tsunami at the ticket window and has been unstoppable for weeks.

In fact, Sunny Deol's film created history at the box office after it became the fastest movie to cross Rs 500 crore mark. And while Gadar 2 is set to complete the fourth week of release tomorrow, it continues to win hearts. After a phenomenal collection at the box office, Gadar 2 seems to be slowing down on day 27 of release.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 is likely to make a collection of Rs 2.40 crore at the box office on day 27 of release. The movie witnessed a slight dip in collections from day 26. If the reports turned out to be true, the overall collections of Gadar 2 will stand at Rs 508.57 crores. It is evident that the movie is struggling to cross the Rs 510 crore mark and with Shah Rukh Khan's much anticipated release Jawan hitting the theatres tomorrow (September 7), Gadar 2 is certainly going to witness a tough competition at the box office now.

While Jawan is expected to have thundering opening at the box office, it will be interesting to see if Gadar 2 will be able to beat the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pataan and emerge as the second highest grossing Hindin film at the box office.

Meanwhile, Sunny is over the moon with the phenomenal success of Gadar 2. Expressing his excitement, he had told Zoom in an interview, "I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part of Gadar, we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. Two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still, people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet".
