Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 has been going on a winning streak. The epic love saga is making record-breaking business at the box office, earning mammoth numbers at the ticket window.

The Anil Sharma directorial is a follow-up story to his 2001 superhit movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprise their iconic roles of Tara Singh and Shakeena in Gadar 2.

The film has surpassed all expectations and entered the coveted 100 crore club in just three days. Meanwhile, the film received an outstanding response on Independence Day and went on to earn a humongous Rs 55 crore.

Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 has taken the Indian box office by storm. The film scored the second-biggest opener after Pathaan and has also been Deol's career's biggest earning movie. It's clear that the patriotic vibes have resulted in increased footfall on Tuesday.

The epic love saga, as per early estimates, collected a whopping ₹55.5 crore on its fifth day, which is its highest single-day collection. With this, the film's overall collection stands at Rs 229 crore. It is expected to cross the 250 crore mark soon.

Gadar 2 was released on August 11 alongside Akshay Kumar's OMG 2. It had an overall 88.85% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday.

The film made a historic opening with Rs 40 crore on August 11 and recorded Rs 43 crore on day 2 and Rs 51 crore on day 3 on Sunday. It also passed the crucial Monday test by collecting Rs. 38 crore. Meanwhile, its global collection stands at Rs 230 crore.

About Gadar 2

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is set amidst the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The sequel not only marks the return of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel), but also the child actor Jeete, played by Utkarsh Sharma.

Set during the 'Crush India' campaign in 1971. It revolves around Tara Singh's brave efforts to bring back his son Charanjeet from Pakistan when he is captured by their army.

It also stars Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Rakesh Bedi, and Dolly Bindra.
