Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Prediction Day 26: Sunny’s Film Slows Down Ahead Of Shah Rukh’s Jawan Release

The month of August witnessed a massive tsunami at the Indian box office with the release of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the movie marked Sunny and Ameesha Patel's return as Tara Singh and Sakina and it has got the nation go all gaga. The Gadar 2 collections have been a proof about the phenomenal success of the movie as the movie has been shattering records every single day.

In fact, Gadar 2 went on to create history recently as it became the fastest movie to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office. The movie entered the coveted club on day 24 of release. And while the movie continues to win hearts, Gadar 2 seems to be slowing down in the fourth week now.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 is likely to mint Rs 2.50 crore at the box office on day 26 of release. To note, the movie witnessed a massive drop in collections on day 25 and is keeping steady on day 26 based on the early trends and footfalls. Interestingly, this drop is coming ahead of the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara's much anticipated release Jawan.

While there has been a buzz about Gadar 2 beating the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (which was released early this year), given the upcoming competition from Jawan, it will be interesting to see if Sunny Deol's film will emerge as the second highest grossing Hindi film at the box office.

Meanwhile, Sunny is over the moon with the phenomenal success of Gadar 2. Expressing his excitement, he had told Zoom in an interview, "I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part of Gadar, we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. Two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still, people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet".
