Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 28: Sunny’s Film Witnesses Lowest Collection Ever As SRK’s Jawan Releases

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel Starrer Gadar 2 which was ruling the box office since almost four weeks of release is finally witnessing a tough competition now. After crashing releases like Akshay Kumar's OMG 2, Abhishek Bachchan Ghoomer, Dream Girl 2 and Akelli, this Anil Sharma directorial is finally witnessing a strong fight for the numbers. And this is because of the release of Shah Rukh Khan's much anticipated release Jawan

Helmed by Atlee, Jawan is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it witnessed a thunderous opening at the box office. According to media reports, Jawan has become the highest opener of all times at the Indian box office. In fact, Jawan release has also affected the box office collection of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 as the movie witnessed the lowest collection ever since release.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 minted Rs 1.50 crore at the box office on day 28 of release. This is the lowest number for Gadar 2 given its stupendous performance so far and if the media reports turned out to be true, the overall collection of the movie stands at Rs 510.59 crore now.

Looks like Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan magic has certainly overshadowed Gadar 2's tsunami at the box office. It will be interesting to see if the Sunny Deol starrer be able to survive at the box office in the coming days and make new records or if Jawan will put an end to Gadar 2's run.

Meanwhile, Sunny is over the moon with the phenomenal success of Gadar 2. Expressing his excitement, he had told Zoom in an interview, "I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part of Gadar, we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. Two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still, people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet".
