Gadar 2 Day 24 BO Prediction: Sunny’s Film Enters Rs 500 Cr Club; Beats SRK’s Pathaan With Huge Difference

Gadar 2, one of the most anticipated releases of the year, has now turned out to be a box office blockbuster and continues to win hearts. Helmed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is the much talked about sequel to the 2001 release Gadar and marks Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's return as Tara Singh and Sakina after two decades.

Interestingly, Gadar 2, which witnessed a box office clash with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's OMG 2, got a thunderous start at the box office with an opening day business of Rs 40 crore. Ever since then, there has been no stopping for Gadar 2 and it has been shattering box office records almost every day.

And now, with its winning run, Gadar 2 will manage to enter the coveted Rs 500 crore club. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 will be raking in a collection of Rs 7.39 crore on its day 24 of release which took the total collection of the movie to Rs 501.47 crore. Interestingly, it has managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan with a huge difference. For the uninitiated, Pathaan had minted Rs 2.2crore (Hindi) on its day 24 of release.

It is evident that after beating KGF 2, Gadar is on its way to beating Pathaan's lifetime collection at the box office. It will be interesting to see if Gadar 2 will emerge as the second highest grossing movie after Baahubali 2 or will the release of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan affect its winning streak.

Meanwhile, Sunny is over the moon with the phenomenal success of Gadar 2. Expressing his excitement, he had told Zoom in an interview, "I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part of Gadar, we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. Two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still, people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet".
